In the entire body structure, some organs are covered by the Musculoskeletal system. Above the Musculoskeletal System, there is an Integumentary System or layers of the skin. It is an outer layer. The human body gets defined and builds an identity because of the skin. It holds a distinct importance as it is a first line of defense against bacteria, injury, Sunlight, and dangerous radiations like UV. It is a medium to sense the touch and detects temperature. It also regulates body temperature. There are 7 layers of the skin, The Basal Cell Layer, the Squamous Cell Layer, the Stratum Granulosum, the Stratum Lucidum, the Stratum Corneum, the Papillary Layer, and the Reticular Layer. Skin, hair, nails, and glands come under the Integumentary System.
