There are various glands under the Endocrine system. Glands produce and release different hormones into the circulatory system to regulate the targeted organ. The Endocrine System plays a key role in controlling and coordinating the body’s metabolism, energy level, reproduction, growth and development, response to injury as well as stress, and mood. The Endocrine system consists of the hypothalamus, pineal gland, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, thymus, adrenal glands, and pancreas.
